I review protein bars that I feel have the following:
High protein. A lot of it. High-quality protein bars have more protein in them than other types of bars. High-quality protein bars also contain lots of whole-grain ingredients. Good fat content. The quality of the protein bars has to be good. They have to have good fat content, which makes a difference for health. High-fat, high-protein, high-fat, high-carb. That is a very strong group. A lot of people buy protein bars with a lot of fat. This is not the best thing for your health. We are working with many customers who are using protein bars and they are not using the fat-free part. There are lots of people who buy the high-fat, high-protein, high-fat, high-carb version. If you go to a nutrition website, you will see what they say, and it sounds good, but there are other people who are buying it. Some people are taking a lot of carbohydrates, and the body is not used to that. We are working with customers who have been buying it and it's not working. When they come to us, we say to them, "Don't buy it, do something else."
